Acrylic/paper. 31×40 framed. An elderly couple, perhaps my grandparents are dressed in 1940’s attire. My grandparents lived in a five floor walkup in The Bronx. Their exotic vacation land consisted of a visit to the Bronx Botanical Gardens. In the background are old faded polaroids of deserts in the Southwest, a dream of more far away travels or a replica of the artificial paradise they inhabit. Recently exhibited in Going Places at the Mystic Museum of Art, Mystic, CT.
